Waira Suites

Great hotel for your stay in Leticia. The hotel is very well located in the city centre. We particularly enjoyed the pool after coming back from our various jungle trips. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and attentive! The room was spacious, even had a balcony overlooking the street. Noise from the street was not a major issue. The shower was OK, with slightly warm water, which was totally fine for us. We asked for blankets because even if you put the AC at 25 degrees it might get a bit chilly with only a sheet provided by the hotel.

Our stay at Waira Suites in Leticia was truly exceptional! The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding—our room was spotless, and the common areas were always well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable. One of the highlights of our experience was Manchas, the hotel’s loyal guardian dog. He followed us during our walks around the city, always keeping a watchful eye to ensure we were safe. Not only that, but he even waited patiently outside our room while we were getting ready, as if making sure we were never left unprotected. To our surprise, Manchas even accompanied us across the border into Brazil, walking with us through Tabatinga and continuing to look after us as we explored. He would patiently wait outside while we did some shopping in the supermarkets, always ready to resume his role as our faithful companion. It was clear that Manchas was well-loved by the entire community of Leticia, as locals greeted him warmly wherever we went. The staff at Waira Suites was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and unique place to stay in Leticia, this hotel is a perfect choice! Highly recommended.

The very friendly and helpful attitude of all of the staff. Each one made you feel welcome and at home. The hotel has many open-air areas which gives a fresh and cool feel to the hotel. My room was massive. Good air-con. Fridge/mini bar in the room. Large, comfortable bed. Nice, pool area. Great after a hot day out and about. Small but fresh buffet breakfast-eggs made to order. Good quality meals served in the evening using local produce. The hotel was an excellent place to relax, sleep well and enjoy my time in Leticia

Waira was a great way to relax after three days without A/C in the Amazon. Our room was large with a nice balcony, it's walking distance to Santander Park and several popular restaurants, and the pool was great. Best of all was Manchas, the hotel dog who followed into town everyday and acted as our local guide and security detail.

Staff are really friendly and hospitable. On our second night at the hotel on our way back from the Amazon, we were given a Master Room which was really comfortable, had a sofa and great air con facilities. Food in restaurant is tasty.
